Brookline market and deli faces extensive damage after 2-alarm blaze
A two-alarm fire in Brookline on Tuesday has left The Butcherie, a market and deli, with extensive damage, according to The Boston Globe.
The fire began in the back of the Harvard Street market just after 3 p.m., according to the Globe. Michael Sullivan, acting chief of operations for the Brookline Fire Department, told the Globe it took firefighters about 15 minutes to put out the fire.

Sullivan said his preliminary estimate of the market’s damages is about $400,000 to $500,000. He said damages were mostly due to smoke and the fire particularly effected perishable goods in the store, the Globe reported.
