Police investigating fatal Cambridge shooting
A 49-year-old man was killed in an early-morning shooting in Cambridge Saturday, according to the Middlesex District Attorney’s office.
Police responded to the scene near 140 Harvard Street around 12:18 a.m., where they found the victim, Anthony Clay, of Cambridge, suffering from a gunshot wound, the DA’s office said in a statement. He was transported to Mass. General where he was pronounced dead.
The shooting is being investigated by state and Cambridge police, according to the DA’s office.
