Police searching for sexual assault suspect after jogger attacked

Police are looking for a man who sexually assaulted a woman while she was jogging in Northborough.

The incident happened at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday. Police say a young woman was jogging toward a railroad bridge when she saw a man standing at the railing. Shortly after she passed him, she realized that he was running after her. The suspect then “grabbed her from behind,” according to the Northborough Police Department.

When the woman turned to confront the suspect, he ran off, police said.

Police called in a K9 unit to help track down the suspect. The victim told police she saw a small, dark-colored car on the road just before police arrived.

The victim described the man as Hispanic, 5-foot-8-inches tall, in his 30s, wearing khaki shorts and a black t-shirt.

While police searched Northborough, a woman in Westborough called the police after she ran from two men circling her in a small black car. She said one of the men was wearing khaki shorts and a black t-shirt. Police say that incident happened in the area of Lake Chauncy. The woman told police she first saw the men when she walked past them on the side of the road. She said the hood of their car was raised. Shortly after that, she ran away when they pulled up beside her and circled around her, she said.
