A traffic stop reveals a sneaker full of heroin, say police

A traffic stop for a missing inspection sticker on Tuesday turned into a drug arrest in Worcester, according to authorities.

Massachusetts State Police pulled over a driver in Worcester after spotting a missing inspection sticker. After that, police discovered the driver was operating the car with a revoked license and there was an active warrant for his passenger. Police brought both men to the Millbury station.

While at the station, the passenger, Timothy A. LaBuff, 37, of Webster, kicked off his right sneaker, revealing 24.8 grams of heroin inside seven small bags.

State police say LaBuff, who had a warrant out of Worcester District Court for larceny over $250, was charged with trafficking in heroin and possession of a Class A substance with intent to distribute.
