Woman’s body found in East Boston garage

The body of a woman was found in an East Boston garage on Wednesday morning, authorities say.

Boston police said the body was discovered at around 9 a.m. at 54 Princeton Street.

“Upon further investigation, we believe this to be suspicious activity,” Boston Police Superintendent Bernard O’Rourke told the Boston Herald. “We don’t have a lot to go on other than that it’s a female, a young female, I’m not sure what age. She’s unidentified at this time.”

O’Rourke said workers at the house, which is under construction, reported the discovery. The woman was found fully clothed in a garage full of construction materials.

“What we’d like is if anyone in the neighborhood saw anything or heard anything, if they saw any individuals in the area that were out of place, or normally don’t belong in this area, we’d like to know about that,” O’Rourke told the Herald.

Police are continuing to investigate the matter.
