Toddler found wandering a busy street in Northborough
A toddler who police say was left alone at a day care center on Monday was found wandering along a busy road in Northborough, according to a report in The Boston Globe.
The 22-month old was left behind when Melissa Tattan, the owner of Lissa’s House Home Daycare Center, took the rest of the children for a walk. Police said the child left the yard through an open gate and was discovered by a driver. The child was crying, but not injured.
Police filed a report with the Department of Children and Families and notified the Department of Early Education and Care about the incident. The day care has been shut down pending an investigation.
Tattan told the Globe she was “upset and devastated” by the incident, adding, “This is my favorite job in the whole wide world, you have no idea. … I love those children.”
