Police seize 935 bags of heroin during Springfield drug raid
Springfield police seized 935 bags of heroin during a drug raid Tuesday evening.
Police said in a statement the drugs were recovered while executing a warrant at a Mill Street apartment around 5 p.m. A large bag of cocaine and $1,178 were also seized. “Panther” was stamped on the bags of heroin, according to police.
Christian Rivera, 20, and Ivan Carmona, 27, both of Springfield were arrested and each charged with trafficking in a Class A substance (heroin) and possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, police said.
Arraignment information for Rivera and Carmona was immediately available.
