Police seek men accused of stealing $22,000 in jewelry from elderly woman

Police are asking for help from the public to identify two men they say stole $22,000 worth of jewelry from a 91-year-old woman in North Providence, according to The Providence Journal.

Two men approached the woman on May 10 and asked if she wanted them to spray paint her driveway with tar and she agreed to pay them for the work, the Journal reports. While they were working, one man stole the jewelry while the other asked the woman to show him to the basement to fill a bucket of water, according to the Journal.
