Body found in Connecticut River may be man accused of killing professor
A man’s body was found in the Connecticut River on Sunday afternoon, according to the Northwest District Attorney’s office.

Tyler Hagmaier.
The body could be Tyler Hagmaier, the man accused of killing Quincy College professor Vibeke Rasmussen, reports The Boston Globe.
The body was discovered in Gill, where police believe Hagmaier drove his car and jumped from the French King Bridge after allegedly stabbing his neighbor Rasmussen in her apartment in Plymouth earlier this month. Police Chief David Hastings told the Globe the clothes on the man’s body were similar to what Hagmaier was reportedly wearing after the incident.
Hagmaier had a history of mental illness and violent behavior.
The body will be identified by the chief medical examiner, the DA’s office said.
