CARVER, Mass. (AP) — A theme park in Carver based on Thomas the Tank Engine is introducing a new ride when it opens for the season during the holiday weekend.

The new ride at Thomas Land is called Winston’s Skyline Express. The ride is a monorail designed to give children a whole new perspective of the park. Winston is named for the fictional Island of Sodor’s track inspection vehicle.

It joins 11 other rides, all featuring characters from the Thomas the Tank Engine series.

Thomas Land, on the grounds of Edaville Railroad, opened in August last year. This will be the first full summer the attraction will be open.
