Officials: Winthrop High student vandalized school, drew swastikas
A Winthrop High School student allegedly broke into his school at 2 a.m., drew swastikas in the classrooms, and caused up to $20,000 in damage, reports The Boston Globe.
The male student was caught on surveillance walking the halls with a sledgehammer, according to Winthrop School Superintendent John Macero. Computers and a television were smashed, he said.
“We’re sad to see this occurred,” Macero told the Globe. “It’s an unfortunate situation.”
Macero said the name of the student has not been made public because of student privacy laws.
