Justin Bieber makes a 9-year-old New Hampshire girl’s wish come true

Karlee Drew made two requests through the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

One was to swim with dolphins, which was not physically possible for 9-year-old who is battling leukemia.

The other wish? To meet Justin Bieber.

The Rochester, New Hampshire native’s second wish was granted when she met the singer before his concert at the TD Garden in Boston Wednesday night.

“Karlee had an amazing night with Bieber, she was the happiest I have seen her in along time,” her mother Pam Drew wrote in a Facebook post. “She smiled from ear to ear. During the concert she would sing and bounce her head side to side with a smile.”

Karlee has undergone two bone marrow transplants and several rounds of chemotherapy to treat myelofibrosis in 2013 and acute myeloid leukemia since her relapse in 2015, according to the family’s GoFundme page.

The Belieber kicked off her night by taking a limousine, escorted by Rochester and New Hampshire State Police, to the TD Garden, a family friend posted to Facebook. After meeting Bieber, Karlee and her family stayed for the show.

However, the Drew family was unsure whether her wish would be granted leading up to the concert.

Karlee was first told her wish wouldn’t come true because Bieber already had a wish scheduled for his stop in Boston. After family and friends started a social media campaign to get the singer’s attention, the foundation told the family her wish had been granted less than a day before Bieber’s last Boston performance.

“I need to say this to everyone that has pushed and helped Karlee get her wish to see Justin Bieber: thank you with all my heart,” her mom wrote.
