Five arrested after brawl breaks out during shooting of rap video

Boston police arrested five people and seized at least four guns during the filming of a rap video in Dorchester on Wednesday night, reports The Boston Globe.

The incident happened just after 6:30 p.m. when filming was interrupted by a group of people who approached the artists and started fighting. When police arrived, they said they were attacked during the melee and had to use pepper spray to contain the crowd.

“We used great restraint, given the fact that they came at us,” police spokesman David Estrada told the Globe.

Nickhlas Simpson, 22, of Dorchester, was charged with assault and battery on a police officer, unlawful possession of a firearm, possession of a Class B substance, disturbing the peace, and resisting arrest. Joseph Wheeler, 21, of Dorchester, is charged with disturbing the peace and disorderly conduct. David Stewart, 21, of Dorchester, was charged with unlawful possession of a firearm and trespassing. Fritznel Vilsaint, 28, of Malden, is charged with unlawful possession of a firearm.
