One teen dead, two injured in car accident on I-93

One teen died and two others suffered injuries during a car crash on I-93 in Windham, N.H. early Sunday morning.

A 19-year-old driver lost control of his vehicle, struck a guardrail and was ejected from the car at 12:15 a.m., according to New Hampshire State Police. He was taken to Parkland Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

Two passengers, a 17-year-old girl and 17-year-old boy, were taken to Lawrence General Hospital with injuries. Police have not named any of the teens.

The accident scene and debris stretched about 80 yards, according to police. Police say I-93 was shut down for about 30 minutes while officials investigated the scene.

The single-vehicle crash is under investigation. Police are asking anyone with information about the accident to call Trooper R. Hajjar at the New Hampshire State Police at 603-223-8836.
