Man fatally struck by commuter rail train in Holbrook
A 25-year-old man was hit and killed Sunday night by a commuter rail train in Holbrook, according to MBTA Transit Police.
Emergency personnel responded to the scene at about 8:30 p.m. According to a preliminary investigation, the man was trespassing on the inbound track, near the Union Street crossing, when he was struck by a Middleborough/Lakeville Line train, police said.
Transit police detectives and representatives from the Norfolk District Attorney’s office were investigating the incident, but foul play was not suspected, police said.
