Scooter driver struck, killed by duck boat

A 29-year-old woman was killed Saturday when a duck boat struck the scooter she was driving at the intersection of Charles and Beacon Streets, said Boston police spokeswoman Officer Rachel McGuire.

The victim’s male passenger was transported to Mass General for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. The accident occurred around 11:30 a.m.

The duck boat was carrying more than 20 people, McGuire said.
