Police identify body found in Danvers pond
Authorities have identified the man found dead in a Danvers pond on Tuesday as Anthony Munroe, 28, according to a statement from the Essex County District Attorney’s office.
Police believe that Munroe died as a result of an accidental drowning.
Munroe’s body was found Tuesday after police received a call reporting a possible body floating in Mill Pond on Tuesday afternoon. Officers and firefighters retrieved his body from the pond and worked with state police to identify Munroe, according to a statement from Danvers Chief of Police Patrick Ambrose.
