Man rescued after fall at Quincy Quarry
Emergency personnel rescued a man Monday who fell from a rock wall at the Quincy Quarry, according to Massachusetts State Police.
State police, Quincy police, and Quincy firefighters responded to the scene, where they strapped the man on a stretcher and carried him back up the rock wall. The man’s injuries weren’t considered to be life-threatening, police said.
“The climb down and the recovery back up the rocky facing were treacherous (as evidenced by the troopers’ losing their hats),’’ police said in the post. “A job well done in what was an excellent team effort!’’
