Head-on crash on I-495 in Massachusetts kills 1, injures 2
NORTON, Mass. (AP) — Massachusetts State Police say one person was killed and two were injured in a head-on collision on Interstate 495 in Norton.
Police say a pickup truck was heading north on the interstate Saturday evening when it went off the road, crossed the median and hit a car in the southbound center lane of the interstate.
Police say the car driver was killed and a passenger was injured. The passenger was taken to a Rhode Island hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The pickup driver, a 41-year-old man from Mashpee, also was injured. Police say he was taken to the hospital, and his injuries were non-life-threatening.
