PLYMOUTH, Mass. (AP) — Authorities say the pilot of a small fixed-wing plane has been seriously injured following a crash at Plymouth Municipal Airport.

The crash was reported Saturday afternoon.

The Federal Aviation Administration tells WBZ-TV the Beechcraft Baron aircraft crashed while practicing a landing.

Police say the plane’s pilot suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries and was taken to the hospital via helicopter.

The pilot was the only person on board. Police haven’t released the pilot’s identity.
