Charlie Baker: ‘It’s unlikely that I am voting for Donald Trump’
At least one person appears to be following The Boston Globe’s advice.
With his personal presidential pick out of the race, Gov. Charlie Baker says he’s still undecided on who he will vote for next Tuesday. But there is one candidate the Republican says he probably won’t vote for.
“I haven’t decided who I’m going to vote for but I think it’s unlikely that I am voting for Donald Trump,’’ Baker told reporters Tuesday, according to Politico.

“I have made quite clear that I have concerns about Mr. Trump’s ability to serve as president,’’ the Republican governor added.
That he has.
Though Baker has largely avoided inserting himself in presidential politics, he hasn’t refrained from criticizing the controversial Republican billionaire.
In August, Baker called Trump’s comments regarding women “reprehensible, outrageous and ridiculous.’’
In December, he condemned Trump’s proposal to ban Muslims from entering the United States.
“I think that’s ridiculous and I would never support a policy like that,’’ Baker told reporters at the time.
And earlier this February, Baker gave a more comprehensive critique of Trump’s candidacy.
“I think there’s a certain temperament and a certain collaborative nature that’s fundamental to somebody’s ability to succeed in government,’’ he said, “and I question whether he has the temperament and the sense of purpose that’s associated with delivering on that.’’
Fortunately for Trump, Baker has at least been kinder to him than he has been to the MBTA.
