Man shot in the leg during a dispute in Cambridge
Police are looking for a suspect who shot a man in the leg during a fight at a Cambridge residence.
Police provided first aid to the victim at 1:46 p.m., said Jeremy Warnick of the Cambridge Police Department. The shooting happened on Putnam Avenue.
“We became aware of the victim as they were in the back of a car and one of our detail officers was flagged down by a driver who was trying to find care for the victim,’’ said Warnick.
The man was transported to a local hospital. His injuries are not considered life threatening, said Warnick. The shooter fled the scene.
“At this point, we have not identified the suspect involved in the case,’’ said Warnick.
The investigation is ongoing.
