Boston Public Schools will be closed Friday
With four to eight inches of snow predicted overnight and into the morning, Boston decided to made Friday a snow day for the city’s public school students.
After forecasters said that the morning commute could be slippery, the city announced the cancellation in a tweet Thursday evening before the snow started to fall.

For those whose aren’t getting a snow day Friday, the MBTA and Public Works Department have said they’ll be working around the clock to clear streets and train tracks.
