Fire department and agencies on scene of active hazmat incident in Beverly
A hazardous materials team was called after firefighters put out a small fire in Beverly Friday morning. There was no immediate threat to residents in the area, according to Beverly Fire Lt. Bill Moran.
The fire, which started in a hole along Congress Steet,was quickly knocked down before the hazmat team was called, according to Moran. There were no reported injuries.
It wasn’t immediately clear what started the fire.
