Lawrence Registry of Motor Vehicles forced to close
A facilities issue forced the Lawrence branch of the state’s Registry of Motor Vehicles to close on Friday.

A spokesperson for the Registry told Boston.com that the issue arose on Thursday when a problem with the branch’s heating system was detected. Repairs on the heating system are being made Friday.
Road tests scheduled for Friday in Lawrence are still being conducted, according to the Registry.
