Here’s the glossy pitch book that lured General Electric to Boston
“The Commonwealth of Massachusetts and the City of Boston strongly believe that Boston, Massachusetts offers the thriving, healthy, and innovative ecosystem that General Electric is seeking in order to grow and succeed.’’
So begins the 11-page pitch book that Massachusetts and Boston officials presented to GE executives as the company considered a move. On Wednesday, that proposal turned into a reality.
Filled with colorful scenic photos of Fenway, the Charles River, and the Seaport, the pitch book describes Boston as the “world’s most sustainable source of exceptional talent.’’
The pitch book details eight potential spots for GE’s relocation, including photos, their access to Logan Airport, and even their “helipad accessibility.’’
The document also notes the relocation and homebuying services offered to GE employees in their move. That includes the offer of an “introductory city tour’’ from city employees. The book does not include the tax incentives offered to GE, which could reach $150 million.
