Woman’s reaction to Donald Trump at Lowell rally goes viral

The photo of Robin Roy taken at a Donald Trump rally in Lowell Monday has gone viral.

Donald Trump’s Monday rally in Lowell may have pulled in a few protestors, but it also introduced the world to one of his biggest fans: 53-year-old Robin Roy from Franklin.

A photo taken by Reuters photographer Brian Snyder capturing Roy’s reaction to meeting her idol at the Tsongas Center went viral almost immediately, appearing in news outlets across the country and in various memes, The Boston Globe reported. Roy, who has never voted before but registered to cast a ballot for Trump in 2016, said she was embarrassed at first, but now she’s proudly made the photo of her with “our future president’’ her Facebook profile picture.

Still starstruck from her encounter with The Donald, Roy told the Globe that Trump has even beat out Tom Brady for the spot of her “No. 1 man.’’

“I believe every word he says,’’ Roy told the Globe. “People say, ‘It’s just a cult thing,’ with him. But it’s not, and I believe him.’’
