Brookline resident attempts to turn in grenade at police station; bomb squad called in
The lobby of the Brookline police station was temporarily closed Monday afternoon after a resident arrived to drop off a hand grenade they found in their home, according to police.
Members of the Boston Police Department’s bomb squad were called to the scene, police said.

The lobby was reopened roughly 20 minutes later after members of the bomb squad removed the grenade.
