Police: Officers thwarted a home invasion in East Boston

Boston Police say they arrested three men, two of whom had weapons, who were breaking into a home in East Boston on Friday morning.

At 6:30 a.m., police said they were called to a breaking and entering in progress on Saratoga Street. Police said that upon entering the second floor of the home, they found three male suspects, one with a bat and another with a 4-inch folding knife.

The officers drew their firearms and ordered the suspects to drop theirs, according to police, and the suspects immediately dropped their weapons. One suspect attempted to duck out of sight around a corner but was captured after a brief struggle.
