Officials identify 2 who died in suspected carbon monoxide poisoning in Milford

Two people died and another two were hospitalized in what is believed to be a carbon monoxide poisoning in a Milford home, a spokesman for Worcester District Attorney’s office said.

Police and firefighters were called to the Milford home on Friday afternoon and found a man and woman dead in their bedroom. Adair Vieira Desales, 47, and Maria Atrecida Dasilva, 42, were identified as the deceased, Worcester DA’s office said.

Two others in the building were taken to the hospital with what was believed to carbon monoxide poisoning.

The case is being investigated by Massachusetts State Police, Milford police and fire, and state fire marshals. No foul play is suspected in the case, Worcester DA’s office said.
