Holyoke High students evacuated after note warns of bomb threat
Students at Holyoke High School were evacuated and sent home from school early on Wednesday as police investigated a bomb threat, Holyoke Public Schools said.
Police did not uncover anything dangerous inside the building, Holyoke Public Schools said.
Police told WWLP that a note found on a school door said there was a bomb in the school. The high school students were then sent home early. The early exit comes a day before the planned start of Holiday recess for Holyoke public schools.
“We will continue working with police to ensure that the high school is ready to re-open in January and to identify the perpetrator,’’ Holyoke receiver Stephen Zrike, Jr. said [PDF].
