Mother charged with kidnapping her Lakeville children ordered held on $50,000 bail
A Lakeville woman accused of kidnapping her two children has been ordered held on bail, according to WHDH-TV.
Valerie McGrath was arraigned on charges of kidnapping and child endangerment Tuesday in Wareham District Court.
According to a Boston Globe report, McGrath failed to return her 7-year-old daughter and 5-year-old son to their father after picking them up on Sunday. The father, who has sole custody, called police when the children were not returned at the agreed-upon time, the Globe reported.

In a statement, Lakeville police said McGrath left behind the vehicle she had been using and then rented another vehicle in Fall River.
The rented vehicle was located by State police Monday evening at a Raynham McDonald’s drive-thru. The children, who were determined to be in good health by EMS personnel, were returned to their father, according to Lakeville police.
