The Church of Scientology is moving to Allston
Allston is getting some new tenants. The New England branch of the Church of Scientology has purchased an office building on Lincoln Street, according to The Boston Globe.
The $15 million deal included a few surrounding properties as well.
In November, the church officially put the Hotel Alexandra in the South End up for sale, a historic building which it purchased with the intent of converting it into its new headquarters in 2008. That work was never completed.
The church is currently renting a space in Quincy, where it will stay until renovations are complete on the new building in Allston. There is no set move-in date yet, said the Globe.
