Boston SWAT team seeking information on their missing cat
Boston police are seeking the public’s help to bring back a special member of the SWAT team — a Calico cat who calls their base home.
Known as “SWAT Cat,’’ she first joined the team in 2013. Police say she’s been known to greet officers as they arrive, rolling over to ask for belly rubs, and often appears at mealtimes to eat alongside officers. For three weeks now, she’s been missing from the base, and police are hoping to bring her back home.
“She had become part of the family,’’ one of the officer’s said. “But it’s sad, she’s not there. It’s like going to work and not seeing a well-liked coworker.’’
