You can now pick up your holiday packages at Amazon’s new lockers
Amazon is providing an alternative to waiting anxiously by your front door for your package: lockers.
In the Boston area, the tech giant opened new lockers at 7-Eleven locations in Allston, Jamaica Plain, East Boston, and Cambridge, according to the Boston Business Journal. The lockers allow people who don’t want packages left on their doorsteps to have them stored in a locker to collect at their convenience.
According to the BBJ, there are 200 locker locations across the U.S., and they’re opened by a barcode sent to the recipient’s smartphone.
