Swampscott High School’s principal has been suspended, and the superintendent isn’t saying why

A statement was sent to parents on Tuesday.

Swampscott High School principal Edward Rozmiarek has been placed on administrative leave, and the town’s school superintendent isn’t saying why, reports The Boston Globe.

Edward Rozmiarek has been placed on administrative leave.

Superintendent Pamela R.H. Angelakis sent a statement to parents Tuesday informing them of the decision, and telling them to contact the assistant principal with any questions “regarding your [student’s] high school experience,’’ reports the Globe.

According to the Globe, Angelakis would not comment on why Rozmiarek was suspended. School Committee vice chairwoman Amy O’Connor said, “It’s a personnel matter, and I don’t have any details on it.’’
