The family of Glen Doherty, the CIA contractor from Winchester killed in the 2012 Benghazi terror attack, is still waiting for a $400,000 death benefit from the federal government, reports The Boston Globe.

“It’s frustrating,’’ Kate Quigley, Doherty’s sister, told the Globe. “It’s just the right thing to do, not only for Glen but for all of these other contractors. We feel like it’s kind of dishonored his memory and his name, and it’s something we’ll keep working on and fighting for.’’

Doherty’s family was not eligible for death benefits under his required insurance policy for contractors because he did not have a spouse or children, Quigley told the Globe. However, the family was told in December 2014 that the CIA would pay out death benefits for cases like Doherty’s once several congressional committees approved the proposal, Quigley told the Globe. The family is still waiting.
