JFK Library Foundation boss leaves the nonprofit

The JFK Library Foundation is undergoing another leadership reshuffle.

Heather P. Campion served as chief executive of the John F. Kennedy Library Foundation since March 2014, and in her time oversaw large staff shakeups, The Boston Globe reports. More than a third of the small staff were terminated or resigned in her 21-month tenure.

According to the Globe, some felt the relationship between the library and the foundation became strained under her leadership, but Campion’s advocates maintain the personnel changes within the organization were due to her push for much-needed change.

Campion follows the library’s former director in leaving the nonprofit, the Globe reports. He abruptly announced his resignation in September, and accepted another position with the National Archives.
