There’s no better place to live than Mass., says a new report
Connecticut and New Hampshire ranked second and third.
We have another reason for you to be thankful, Massachusetts.
The Bay State has been named America’s Best State to Live In by 247wallst.com.
In fact, New England states took the top three spots — Connecticut and New Hampshire ranked second and third.
Massachusetts came out on top because of our wealth, low unemployment and poverty rates, excellent standardized test scores, high demand for housing, and prevalence of college degrees.
“[I]t is the only state where more than two in five adults have a bachelor’s degree —a major driver of the state’s strong economy and high quality of life,’’ writes 247wallst.com.
Oh, and we live longer. The life expectancy at birth for a Massachusetts resident is 80.5 years, which is higher than the national life expectancy at 79 years.
This, after the Washington Post declared us the most intelligent state in the union.
Keep up the good work, Massachusetts!
