Investigators haven’t identified the person in the Gardner heist video

The video has resulted in tips, but no solid leads.

Three months after surveillance footage was released showing a shadowy figure entering the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum the night before the unsolved 1990 museum heist, investigators still haven’t determined who the person is, reports The Boston Globe.

“Since the release of the video, we have received many tips and information that continue to be vetted,’’ Christina Diorio-Sterling, a spokeswoman for the US attorney’s office, told the Globe.

The 25-year investigation into the robbery and recently released video “is very much active and ongoing,’’ Diorio-Sterling told the Globe. During the robbery, thieves made off with $500 million in artwork, including a Vermeer and three Rembrandts.
