Hillary Clinton is coming to Faneuil Hall
And it looks like Mayor Marty Walsh will endorse her at the event.
Nearly two months since she last visited Boston, Hillary Clinton is returning to the city the Sunday after Thanksgiving.
The Democratic presidential candidate will hold a grassroots organizing meeting with Boston Mayor Marty Walsh at Faneuil Hall.
Walsh endorsed Hillary Clinton last week, according to The Boston Globe.
“They’ve had a number of great conversations,’’ a source told the Globe’s Jim O’Sullivan.
The event Sunday starts at 2:30 p.m., with doors opening at 1:30 p.m. (don’t worry football fans, the Patriots won’t play until 8:30 p.m.).
According to a press release, Clinton and Walsh will launch “Hard Harts for Hillary,’’ a coalition of pro-Clinton working families in construction, building, transportation and other labor industries.
Clinton and Walsh last appeared together at a substance abuse forum in Dorchester, at which the former secretary of state praised Boston’s mayor for his leadership in addressing the epidemic.
Walsh returned the praise in his closing remarks: “Someone once said, it takes a village.’’
As O’Sullivan noted last week, Walsh’s endorsement leaves Sen. Elizabeth Warren as the only high-profile Democrat in Massachusetts to have not yet endorsed Clinton.
