Bella Bond’s body was released to her father
“I’m going to put laying my daughter down to rest before anything else.’’
The body of Bella Bond was released by the state medical examiner’s office to her biological father Thursday, reports The Boston Globe.
Joseph Amoroso, who never met his daughter, told the Globe he originally wanted a public funeral for the slain 2-year-old, whose body was discovered in a trash bag on Deer Island in June. However, Bella’s funeral will be private after an agreement was reached between Amoroso and the girl’s mother, Rachelle Bond, Amoroso told the Globe.
“I’m going to put laying my daughter down to rest before anything else,’’ Amoroso told the Globe. “Her body has been through enough.’’
Rachelle Bond, 40, and her ex-boyfriend, Michael McCarthy, 35, were arrested in September in connection with Bella’s death. McCarthy is charged with murder, and Bond is accused of helping McCarthy dispose of the body.
