Four Boston Police officers were taken to Boston Medical Center for possible chemical exposure after arresting a man they said was breaking into a car Thursday morning, said police.
Police responded to a call for a suspect breaking into a car at 4:50 a.m. at 182 West Brookline Street.
“He had a product used to make meth on him, so officers involved in that arrest were taken to BMC as a precaution,’’ said Officer Rachel McGuire.
When asked if the officers had any symptoms, McGuire said, “As far as I know at this time, it was just a precaution.’’
McGuire said the condition of the officers is “unknown.’’ No information about the man arrested was available as of Thursday morning.
