A 90-minute battle of spray paint cans will take place tonight on Yawkey Way.
Secret Walls, an international competition series inspired by Marvel comics and graffiti, has organized a graffiti battle between New York and Boston, reports The Boston Globe.
The art-war begins at 7 p.m. across the street from Fenway Park, in an alley entrance of Yawkey Way and Arthur’s Way. Local artists Dana Woulfe and Percy Fortini-Wright will square off against Big Apple artists Greg Mishka and L’Amour Suprim, according to the Globe. The artists will use black acrylic and spray paint to create murals on 10-by-6 foot canvases.
“We are going to cater to the hometown crowd. That’s all we’re going to say,’’ Woulfe, an illustration and design graduate of the Massachusetts College of Art and Design, told the Globe. “But these kids that come from New York are no joke. This is going to test us in terms of our talent level.’’
