‘Unruly’ passenger on Logan-bound flight had to be restrained

An intoxicated female passenger on a British Airways flight to Logan Airport had to be restrained after she tried to open an exit door, Massachusetts State Police said.

Police took the passenger, 32-year-old Kamila Dolniak, a citizen of Poland, into custody when the flight arrived at Logan at around 1:30 p.m. Police are charging her with interfering with a flight crew, a police spokesman said. She is expected to be arrainged Wednesday in East Boston District Court.

Police initially said the woman may have attempted to enter the cockpit, but soon corrected that information. The incident has no known relation to terrorism, police said.

British Airways said in a statement that the issue was related to an “unruly customer.’’

“Our customers and crew deserve to have a safe and enjoyable flight and we do not tolerate abusive behaviour. Our crew have requested that police meet the flight in Boston due to an unruly customer on board,’’ British Airways said.
