Morning classes were canceled at a Cape college after a bomb threat

State Police were notified of a bomb threat on the wall at Cape Cod Community College in Barnstable.

Morning classes were canceled at Cape Cod Community College in Barnstable Monday after a written bomb threat was discovered on a school wall the night before, The Boston Globereported.

State Police were notified of the threat Sunday night and, because the school was empty at the time, decided to wait and search the school Monday morning, reports the Globe.

“Once we complete the search we will notify the school if [and when] it is OK to open to the public,’’ State Police spokesman Dave Procopio told the Globe in an e-mail.
