Mayor Marty Walsh wishes Boston wouldn’t ‘pound things into the ground’

Kieth Bedford / The Boston Globe

Mayor Marty Walsh has once again complained about Bostonians’ negative attitude.

In a Boston Public Radio interview Friday, Mayor Walsh spoke about his desire to bring IndyCar racing to the Seaport District, The Boston Globe reports.

“We just love to pound things into the ground here,’’ he said.

In the same interview, he added that Boston has lost tech companies to the West Coast as it seemed more fun and exciting, according to the Globe.

In May, Walsh announced the race car series would come to Boston for Labor Day weekend 2016, but has since faced strong pushback from city residents near the proposed course, and travellers intending to use the MBTA Silver Line over the holiday weekend.
