Jury finalized for Philip Chism murder trial
Seventeen jurors have been selected to sit on the trial of Philip Chism, the 16-year-old accused of raping and murdering his 24-year-old teacher at Danvers High School two years ago, according to The Boston Globe.
The jury selection process was suspended for about three weeks last month while Chism’s mental health was evaluated, the Globe reported. He was declared competent to stand trial, and opening statements are expected Monday at Essex Superior Court.
