Nobody knows who’s buying the Boston Flower Exchange

A deal was struck to sell the Boston Flower Market a few months ago, but nobody knows to whom.

The Flower Market shareholders agreed to sell the 5.6 acre plot for more than $40 million, but the new owner remains a mystery, according to The Boston Globe . City officials say they’ve heard little, nosey neighborhood groups know nothing, and big name developers who lost out on the hot property don’t know who won.

The Globe reports residents are curious to know who will own the parcel, as the neighborhood’s future hangs in the balance.
