A new website will help Mass. homeowners shop around for lower electric rates
Savvy shoppers in Massachusetts who want to try to lower their electric bills are getting some new assistance, The Boston Globe reports.
Companies that try to offer better rates than electric utilities will post their plans on a state website that consumers can use as they look for the best deal, according to the Globe.
The website allows users to download price spreadsheets, but the Department of Public Utilities says it plans to eventually turn the site into an online marketplace.
